Dr. DeLaPerriere was born in Hawaii and raised in Atlanta. He attended the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved on to the Medical College of Georgia, where he earned his doctorate in medicine. Dr. DeLaPerriere received his specialty training in anesthesiology in Augusta at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Afterwards, he settled in Dublin, GA, where he practiced anesthesiology and pain medicine from 1995 until 2013, before joining the Pain Institute of Georgia team in Macon.

He is the father of two daughters as well as a stepdaughter and a stepson. Dr. DeLaPerriere is an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
